Assassin's Creed Rogue at StreamerHouse

Rogue hit in 2015 as the forgotten middle child—a last-gen exclusive that launched the same day as Unity on next-gen consoles, guaranteeing nobody would notice it. The pitch was fascinating: you play as a Templar hunting assassins, flipping the franchise's entire moral compass. Critics praised the mature storyline and complex protagonist Shay Cormac, calling it essential lore for franchise diehards. But GameSpot gave it a 6/10, calling it "a glorified Black Flag DLC pack" that felt thin on content and did nothing to push the series forward. StreamerHouse caught Rogue during its 2015 run, when the game peaked at moderate viewership as players realized it was basically Black Flag in a colder setting with zero innovation. The ship combat was copy-pasted wholesale, the campaign was short, and the whole thing reeked of "we need something for the PS3/360 audience." Game Informer later ranked it sixth-best in the series—respectable for a game that felt like Ubisoft cleaning out the fridge before moving apartments. By late 2014, Ubisoft had shipped 10 million copies combined with Unity, though nobody knows the split.
