Darksburg

Darksburg hit Early Access in 2020 and we were there for the 1.0 launch that September. Four and a half hours of cartoony zombie slaying in a plague-ravaged medieval town, 207 viewers watching us work through what Shiro Games had built. The team understood the market—top-down co-op zombie survival with twin-stick shooting and hero abilities. Problem was, everybody else understood that market too. We streamed competent, charming gameplay that needed more content to justify commitment. Sometimes you can tell when a game won't stick around, and Darksburg had that feeling even as we played.
