Darwin Project

We brought Darwin Project into the house during Early Access in 2018, and the snow-based BR pulled 693 peak viewers. Scavengers Studio's Canadian Rockies survival game was sharp—10 players fighting sub-zero conditions while an 11th player directed chaos from above. The Show Director mechanic was genuinely innovative: someone could close zones, spawn lava, or flip the match on its head. But 2018 was late in the battle royale lifecycle. Fortnite. PUBG. Apex Legends. The audience had already fractured. Darwin Project was a creative, well-designed BR that launched into an impossibly saturated market. Gimmicks couldn't save it.
