Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance at StreamerHouse
Dark Alliance launched June 2021 for StreamerHouse with 685 peak viewers, right as Tuque Games released what should've been Baldur's Gate nostalgia and became a buggy disaster instead. Critics and players alike called the launch "borderline unplayable"—riddled with bugs, agonizing controls, non-existent AI, poor balance, and connectivity issues that made the co-op focus nearly impossible. Players routinely dropped from missions or couldn't find matches, forcing solo play the game wasn't designed for. Reviews noted "utter failure" to deliver basics, with certain classes having massive advantages while bugs made actually enjoying hack-n-slash gameplay improbable. Steam settled at 43% positive as Tuque issued "we're listening" statements followed by patches. Later reviews admitted "majority of bugs eventually fixed" and the game improved significantly post-launch. Too late—damage done. The game announced server shutdowns for February 2025, joining the graveyard of D&D games that squandered the license. StreamerHouse playing in 2021 captured the train wreck in real-time—Rocky launch turned ghost town, a cautionary tale of shipping broken hoping to patch later.
