Dark Alliance dropped in June 2021 and we hit it immediately—685 peak viewers watching what should've been nostalgia fuel became a masterclass in shipping broken. Tuque Games promised Baldur's Gate vibes, co-op hacking and slashing, and instead delivered utter failure: bugs everywhere, AI that didn't exist, connectivity that murdered the co-op focus, controls that fought you. We watched in real-time as players couldn't find matches, dropped from missions, and realized the game was borderline unplayable. Five-point-three hours was enough—we'd seen the nightmare. Eventually patches fixed most of it, but too late. Chat moved on. February 2025 shutdown bells tolled. That's what happens when you ship hope instead of product.
