E3 2017 at StreamerHouse
June 2017. We covered E3 2017 at the house—the last truly great E3 before the format's slow death. Thirty-one and a half hours capturing Xbox One X announcements, Anthem's debut, Nintendo's Odyssey showcase, Wolfenstein II, Beyond Good & Evil 2 finally getting a sequel announcement. The energy was different back then. By 2023, E3 was dead. But in 2017, it still felt like the video game world gathering in one place, and we streamed the whole thing. Our viewers watched us react to every reveal, every trailer, every desperate attempt by publishers to prove they still mattered. The house documented gaming's last great industry moment before everything fragmentized into direct feeds and individual presentations.
