Godfall

Godfall landed November 12, 2020, and we caught 598 viewers watching Counterplay's looter-slasher become a cautionary tale about PS5 launch hype. The game looked stunning—absolutely gorgeous particle effects and character models. But the thin story and repetitive loot structure wore thin fast. We spent 8 hours in Godfall's world and the house felt the same way the critics did: technically solid but creatively shallow. Beautiful glass, not much substance underneath.
