Heroes of the Storm at StreamerHouse
Heroes of the Storm absolutely owned StreamerHouse from 2015 to 2017. Blizzard launched June 2, 2015, and threw out the MOBA rulebook—no items, shared team XP, multiple maps rotating the meta constantly. We jumped in early and immediately felt how different this was from League and Dota. The learning curve was sharp but fair. Fast-forward three years of grinding, and we'd built a serious HotS presence. Watching the pro scene develop while we played kept the content fresh. Chat loved debating hero balance patches, new map mechanics, and our terrible macro play. By 2017, the meta had shifted hard enough that many streamers moved on, but those years were some of the most competitive energy in the house. Blizzard never quite caught the esports wave like Riot did, but for the hardcore MOBA nerds? HotS was a fresh alternative.
Heroes of the Storm Twitch Statistics
That 1,474-peak tells the whole story—we were pulling massive audiences in 2015-2017 when HotS was the hot new thing. Over 16.5 hours of hardcore gameplay, we averaged 775 viewers and grabbed 97 followers. The 15,910 hours watched across our sessions showed the community was hungry for a MOBA alternative. We gained followers on this one, which means the quality content and skill progression actually landed.
