Starfield at StreamerHouse
Starfield was supposed to be The Game, right? Bethesda's first new universe in 25 years, and we dove in September 2023. We committed 301 hours between 2023 and 2024, watching this space exploration epic unfold. You know that feeling where something has massive hype but the actual *feeling* of playing it is... different? That was Starfield for us. We loved the ambition — the ship building, the exploration, the scale of it. But the streamer experience of Starfield was more methodical than electric. We'd build, we'd explore, we'd hit some story beats, and our viewers would hang out, but there wasn't that same urgency you get with other AAA launches. Still, we were there for the entire ride across both years.
Starfield Twitch Statistics
301 hours is solid volume, but the viewer numbers tell a different story than the hype machine. We averaged 279 viewers — respectable, but lower than Bethesda's marketing would've suggested for a flagship title. That peak of 458 viewers came and went, which is interesting for a game with that much pedigree. We clocked 82k hours watched, which means viewers were definitely tuning in, just maybe not at the intensity levels of other major releases. Starfield streamed more like a long-form narrative experience than a spectacle.
