Red Barrels brought The Outlast Trials to StreamerHouse in 2023, and this one was different from its predecessors—co-op horror. Cold War MK-Ultra nightmare fuel where 1-4 players became Murkoff test subjects, and we had to figure out: does staying together feel safer or just mean more people to watch die horribly? We spent 14.3 hours exploring that tension, watching the house debate strategy while dealing with brainwashing trials, tooth guns, and 'the lady who lives in the walls.' Red Barrels pushed psychological horror beyond the lone journalist formula, forcing players to trust (or not trust) each other through experimental torture. That 263-viewer peak captured audiences discovering that screaming with friends absolutely works for horror.

Trials averaged 233 viewers across 14.3 hours streamed with 3,327 hours watched. That 263 peak came during early access in 2023 when community was discovering Red Barrels had figured out co-op psychological horror. The numbers reflected audiences fascinated by the series' willingness to evolve beyond its solo-player roots into something scarier together.
