TwitchCon 2016 at StreamerHouse

TwitchCon 2016 took over StreamerHouse September 30–October 2 when the streaming community descended on San Diego Convention Center. This was TwitchCon's second year but first in San Diego, and they expanded to three days as the event was finding its voice. We streamed 17.8 hours of it and pulled 4,919.3 hours watched, averaging 278 viewers with a peak of 580. That peak captures the electric energy of being there, the panels, the expo floor chaos, and everyone's favorite streamers hanging out in person. Microsoft and EA were pushing Battlefield 1, H1Z1 was running their battle royale invitational, and the whole community was thrumming. In 2016, TwitchCon was still discovering itself—not yet the massive corporate machine it'd become. Our coverage let people who couldn't attend feel the momentum. The energy was raw and real.
