TwitchCon 2016 took over StreamerHouse with 580 peak viewers as the streaming community celebrated at San Diego Convention Center September 30-October 2. This was TwitchCon's second year but first time in San Diego, expanding from two to three days as the convention found its identity. The streams likely featured coverage of panels, the expo floor, and the electric energy of streamers and fans meeting IRL. Microsoft and EA partnered for Battlefield 1 promotions, while H1Z1 fans voted for their favorite streamers in the Battle Royale Invitational. That 580-viewer peak captured the growing excitement around Twitch's annual gathering, years before it became the massive event it is today. In 2016, TwitchCon was still finding its footing, but the community energy was undeniable—and StreamerHouse was there to share it with viewers who couldn't attend.
