Guardians Victorious in Destiny's First Raid

The Vault of Glass has fallen. After more than 14 hours of intense gameplay, a fireteam has become the first to complete Destiny's inaugural raid, claiming the prestigious world first achievement.

The Vault of Glass is Destiny's most challenging content, a six-player raid that requires perfect coordination, communication, and skill. Teams worldwide had been preparing for the raid's launch, racing to be the first to conquer its mysteries.

The Competition

The race to complete the Vault of Glass was fierce. Among the top contenders streaming their attempts:

  • The winning fireteam, who pushed through after 14+ hours
  • StreamerHouse, providing continuous coverage of the race
  • Numerous clan teams coordinating on stream

StreamerHouse was among the teams racing for world first, broadcasting their attempts around the clock thanks to their unique 24/7 streaming format. Their coverage provided viewers with extended looks at the raid mechanics as teams learned the encounters.

Raid Mechanics

The Vault of Glass introduced mechanics unlike anything seen in Destiny's story missions. The Templar, Gorgons, and Atheon encounters each required teams to develop entirely new strategies on the fly.

This world first race established raid racing as a major event in the Destiny community, setting the stage for future content releases.
